CoddyBarks

I am a 21 y/o Latin American freelance artist, attending public art school with the ambition of becoming an illustrator. I specialize in drawing anthropomorphic creatures while working on refining my human art.

Due to being a student, I mostly work on weekends in an effort to assist my father with money as well as building a following.

F.A.Q

Hello! To get started I wanted to remind you that due to my forgetful nature it’s important to notify me if I’ve forgotten anything. While I’m working on correcting this it’s still sometimes an issue so please don’t be shy!

➤Which device, art program, and brushes do you work with?

I primarely use an IPad Pro and Apple stylus pen; I use this in place of a standard computer. My art program is Procreate and my brush preference is the 6B pencil. I use this brush for both lining and coloring! I really love the rusty textured look it gives. Otherwise, I typically use the basic default brushes or personal ones made by myself or my friends- I will not be giving these brushes out.

➤Why is your English... weird?

English is not my first language- I’m a self-taught bean! I’ve been learning through the years from my time on the internet, so I apologize for any mistakes I may make! I plan to formally study English as soon as possible, for the time being, please bear with my rusty English.

➤Can i get inspired by your art/artstyle?

While i appreciate the support and interest, i do not feel comfortable with people referencing or getting inspired by my style or art in general. Much less my characters, the very few characters that i use are very precious to me, please don't reference or copy them either.

➤Which are your do’s and don’t s?

Since this typically refers to NSFW and/or gore I will start with that. As a standard, I’d say NSFW is my ‘don’t’ as I do not offer NSFW art unless it’s artistic nudity, keep in mind that i live in a house with my dad and big sister with little to no privacy which would make the whole thing uncomfortable if i where to sell that kind of art. Gore, on the other hand, I will happily do. However always feel welcome to ask first if you have any concerns.

Otherwise, I mostly draw anthropomorphic animals and on rare occasions humanoids. I am still trying to develop a human art style but i might be able to pull it off if you wish!

➤Why won’t you respond to my comments or messages?

Due to school, work and personal time it can be a bit of a task to find the time to respond to every message. While I appreciate it, I am a bit shy and can get a bit overwhelmed trying to respond to everyone but please be assured I do read every message. Please consider I am a person with commitments and a personal life as well! I will get to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience!

➤Is there any other way i could get your art?

Yes actually, i collect a variety of items from stuffed animals, to action figures and comics. I am working on a wishlist to kind of trade art for said items some day. I will be paying the shipping and doing art in return but said art won't be delivered until the item arrives.

T.O.S

Introduction
-By comissioning me you are automatically agreeing to my tos.
-I’m a full time student with adhd, concentrating and organizing it’s a very hard task to me so I might take a bit of time with my commissions.
-Please make sure you are patient before asking for an order! I try to work as fast as I can while being in collage and helping my family!
-For any inquiry, problem, etc you can find me mostly active on my twitter coddybarks or my contact email [email protected]

General
•I’m only taking commissions via Twitter and sometimes Furaffinity. They open at random and they’re usually Auctions but I do make set price pieces too.
•Commissions can take from a week to two months to be completed depending on the complexity of the piece! If I have to take longer I will make sure to let you know!
•I am very very forgetful, please don’t be afraid to ask for updates or reminding me of sending the files!
•I reserve the right to cancel a commission at any point of the process.
•Yes you are allowed to buy for others as long as it doesnt compromise me negatively.

Process
•Commissions are sold via Twitter or Furaffinity but organized via email.
I will ask you to send me an email with the required information after your purchase.
•I take payments in full up front via Paypal in USD. Once the payment went through I will present a concept sketch of your order, then the lineart, the base colors and if the commission is shaded, then the final piece.
•I usually take the liberty to shade or give the piece the mood that i want unless stated otherwise, so make sure you comunicate what you wish for before i start the order!
•Changes can be added or made during the Sketch, lineart and flat color process. I won’t make changes on the final piece unless they’re minuscule.
•I will need at least a reference of your character, I can work with almost any type of reference (including second life, 3d models and traditional art) but a digital color palette must be provided. If the illustration faces your character’s back I will need it’s back design. If it’s a bust illustration I will need at the very least a bust reference!
•I can make up to three free sketches/concepts. If you are still unhappy with them the next sketches will cost +$5 each. Don’t be afraid to be specific with your orders, references are always appreciated!

Do's and Don't
•My pieces can be slightly edited or modified (changing the color palette, using filters, adding markings or removing them) although you must take full responsibility of said changes and keep the original file.
•I don’t condone the use of my art to make merch for sale, it doesn’t matter if it’s your fursona, please don’t do that because it makes me uncomfortable. However the making of stickers, charms, poster, etc. of PERSONAL use it’s okay!
•I must receive full credit for the making of the piece and I reserve the right to use it as an example for future commissions unless stated that the piece must be kept private.
•I do take private pieces but that must be clarified from the start and also at the end if possible just in case.
•I recomend you to keep record of the value of said piece somewhere (some people like to keep track of how much their character is worth in terms of art and extras) since my prices aren't usually set and change from piece to piece.

Designs
•Once bought you've got complete ownership over said design and you are free to edit it as you please (changing colors, markings, species, etc) Tho you must keep a copy of the original file.
•My designs can only be resold for their original price unless they count with extra art, fursuit parts, props, plushies, etc.
If you bought the design for x amount of money and i decided to toss in an extra piece of art, that art MUST be counted as a gift.
•If the design was a gift or traded it can only be gifted or traded no matter what.

My limitations
•I no longer work with nsfw pieces, just in specific occasions since I live with my family and I don’t feel comfortable doing that sort of stuff around them.
•I’m usually super excited to work with complicated designs but I’m still not used to drawing clothing or armors!
•I’m not very good with Humans or Humanoids but I could give it a try.
•Since I’m quite the slow student, I tend to only be able to work and respond to messages on weekends.

Refunds
•A full refund can be given only if I haven’t started the piece at all or if for some reason I can’t complete.
•If the piece it’s at least halfway done (lined and/or colored) a partial refund can be offered.

Art Examples

Many of the following characters are not of my ownership

•These are examples of my art, i do not have a set price list for what you'll have to be active on my twitter to catch a piece!
•I am currently mostly working with bust pieces because of my very limited time!

•I usually post there when i have open slots and it's prices.
•I adore to draw teeth and maws so don't be shy to request them!
